Great Mexican food with a lot of menu options!! Located on the corner of a busy intersection and across from Mater Dei High School, there is always a crowd here. The staff are efficient at producing orders of both high and low volumes to keep their customers happy. This is also not a sit down restaurant! You order at the counter and pick up your food at another counter. There are a few tables, but mostly bar style seating facing outside the windows. There is also a little bakery inside the store featuring traditional Mexican favorites like pan dulce and conchas. There are cakes and pudding-like cups, too!
My family tends to order the fiesta packs when we visit. The fiesta packs are reasonably priced and truly include what you need for a fiesta dinner. It comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans, red and green sauces, onions, limes, an entire bag of tortillas, and an entire bag of chips! The chips are always crunchy, never stale. The red sauce has a kick to it and can be super spicy sometimes. Of the meats, the best is the chicken. It's moist and not too salty. The carne asada and carnitas are also pretty good. The 2lb fiesta pack is about $35ish and the 1lb pack is $16. They do have larger fiesta packs available; you order basically by the pound.
I recently tried the double asada torta ($13). It looked really appetizing on the poster in the window, so I decided to give it a shot. Holy, it was thicc !! Plenty of asada, tomato, lettuce, jalepeno, cheese, bean paste. I was only able to eat half; my dad ate the other half. The asada was not dry. The cheese could've been a bit more melted, but I'm not sure if this type of cheese does that. Definitely down to come back and try everything on their menu! -

I've always driven by and was enticed by their bright sign but finally had the chance to make it in to check them out and wow was I surprised!
First off, there's so much packed into this restaurant; it's literally like a one stop shop for parties. They have a counter service where you can order meat plates, entrees, or tacos; but at the same time you can also order meat in bulk for parties or family dinners. Next to that they have a variety of agua frescas and next to that they have a little bakery section with self serve breads and pastries. You can even order cakes!
Anyways onto the food!
Pozole Rojo - SO tasty! Served with all the fixings, the pork in this soup is so tender. I'd definitely get this dish again.
Tortas - They have a variety of tortas, some more intense than others, but I tried their signature Cubano Torta and it was pretty filling. I also tried one of their special Tortas but can't remember the name; but overall I like the meat but can pass on the hotdog used.
Agua Fresca - I really liked the Cucumber Mint agua fresca! So refreshing and light. I also tried the Strawberry and Mango; both of which tasted very fruity and a bit on the sweeter side.
I'm normally a fan of carne asada but their pork seems to be the star here so if you're trying to decide what type of meat to try, try their pork!
Overall, it's a really neat place and I think it'd be super convenient for parties if you're looking for that type of food. -

THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!!! And the portions are even BETTER! I took my wife here for the first time as I have eaten here with out her! Yeah can you tell that we got into a fight over it, she's pregnant LOL.
Anyhow, she ordered 2 tacos and posole and I got the fattest Torta ever! Oh we also got 2 mango frescas! Now let me go into details about how amazing the food was. Not only was it scorching hot, it was very flavorful and delicious! Everything was just perfect! The torta was as big as it can be. Yes it is a bit pricy but you get what you pay for! They don't short cut you and you can see them cooking everything in front of you!
BEST PART - They have a bakery inside there too! So after you eat and you need that sweet tooth life, they will save you! I will def be coming back! Its worth every penny and I appreciate the service! Until next time.. -

A super fun place to take anyone who loves Mexican food! The ambiance is awesome! You do feel like you're in Mexico. The decor hanging on the top with a map of Mexico. You order to the right side of the restaurant next to all the bread and to the left is where you can watch them make your food! Different type of meat that's just a window away. Chiefs are busy chopping up the meat and cooking. The tortilla is very good which makes me think that they make it fresh there and since this place is so packed everything was very fresh! From the meat to the tortilla to the sauce bar (it's small but everything you ever need is there)!
I did not try any of the bread or desert but I will next next time! They all look amazing!
I got 2 tacos (they are sizable) and a tamale. Both very good, the meat by itself was flavorful let along a combination of it all! -

Horchata was bomb and home made you can tell. It was my Frist time here, the bad part is that the line takes forever; there is so much people in line at all hours of the day. But it is bomb so maybe that's why. For me the Horchata was the best.
Make sure you check your order because sometimes they put the wrong food in your bag or put extra things you don't need. But they are so busy I understand.
You have this place if you are in the area. Make sure to get the horchata .
